How to have a positive birth experience in ashford, Kent.
what does “positive birth” actually mean?
It’s important to note that when I talk about a positive birth experience, I am not talking about a perfect, pain-free birth because I can’t promise you that. I am instead talking about a birth experience where you feel informed, supported and in control. A birth experience where you know that the decisions you made around your birth are the best for you and your baby.
Why does mindset and preparation matter in labour?
Your mindset will have a direct influence on how your body responds to labour and birth. If you feel calm and confident, your body will respond well to this by releasing oxytocin. However, if you are fearful and tense during birth, your body will respond by releasing adrenaline, the fear hormone which will slow down your labour process and make birth more challenging.
